Critter challenge 2

What fun this card was to make. I used the brightest star I know, the sun! The sun, from DOTS was stamped into Sculpey clay with black ink, trimmed with an exato knife then baked. I added some colored pencil to highlight the face.
The stripped background paper was perfect to weave the gold and yellow sun rays through..

Carpe Diem is from Inkadinkado and attached with yellow brads. It is all mounted on a purple card stock

Touch of Spring Challenge

Not being in the mood to layer, or use flowers, I made this card. It is inspired by the almond orchards that all in bloom right now, they are so beautiful at this time of the year and only last for about 4 weeks, then the blossoms fall and the green leaes appear. I haven't done any masking in a long time and ended up with two cards today. The stamps used on this are from Bees Wax, and A Country Welcome. All was colored with pencil, but the blossoms on the trees were stippled on with white acrylic paint.

Gone Fishing Tag Challenge

This tag is 6 1/2 x 4, so it is a large tag. The stamps I used were from Bees Wax, My Heart Stamps for You, and Meer Image. Fun stamps to do scenes with, and the first time I've stamped a scene onto a tag. Good challenge.

Rubber Stamping Friends are Forever

These pretty accent papers were a gift from a fellow stamper and they just fit this image. These kids are so much fun to work with. The sheet they are holding is blank, so any sentiment that will fit on it works. Makes a great invitation too. The kids are from Jane Fuller, the words on the sheet are from PSX.

My stamping area

These first two pictures are NOT for the faint of heart. Along the top are photos my youngest son took in college, they are NOW all neatly hung above, not just sitting in the rails.

The last two are how it looks at this very moment. Yep! I finally got it straightened around and cleaned up.......somewhat.
The lateral file holds 8 1/2 by 11" paper in the top drawer, the second has all specialty papers and the third one ( bottom) holds my oils, water color and small canvases.
The two tall cabinets hold my stamps and all the goodies I think I have to have, binding systems, glitters, colored embossing powders and what ever else I may want to use. Everything else is on the wall! LOL Can you believe that? I love the slat wall, DH made the aluminum rails to hold my stamps. At one time that wall was completely full of mounted stamps. Then I took them all off the wood and went a different direction.

A clean spot WAHOO!

Brown Pear?

While trying to straighten up my craft / stamping / scrapbooking area I came across 3 or 4 of this pear stamped and colored in different colors. It took me a minute to remember just when I had done them. Well the year was 2001, can you believe that? I had spent the summer with my right wrist is a cast, then a month after they took the cast off I had knee surgery. So while on crutches I would hobble back here stamp the images and then sit and color them. On the right side of the card I added some copper foiling, I forgot it and the glue got a lot drier than it was supposed to be, but the effect was better than I figured. (Who knew?) I did age it a little with some brown ink, then added the background stamp. Everything was the same color, huummmm. Matting the pear on the black made it pop. A little wire the same burnt red as the pear was added for some texture and dimension. The pear is from Rubber Stampede and the pear words are from A Stamp in the Hand.

Critter Sketch challenge

New floral stamp from Stampendous, colored with felt pens. This is liable to become one of those "My favorite stamps". LOL The stripes are sheer red ribbon. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. A very simple and clean card, lost of fun putting it together.

Frantic Stamper designed this lady, and she just fit the challenge for Feb. 5 Wear Red.
The frame is a pre-cut one from my scrapbook supplies, sentiment is PC generated, a little ribbon, some rhinestones and walaa!
