Card Patteren Sketch # 57

Image
Imaginations made this pretty little girl, Hero Arts made the sentiment and I made the card! LOL Every time I use her I think of my dearest friend Susie, only Susie is a blond! It all sits on a pink marbled card, that did not show well in the scan, sorry! :(

Critter challenge #7

Image
This little guy just begged to be used on a card, he is from Rubber Necker, stamped, colored with pencil, trimmed and mounted on a cross thatched paper. Mounts are black animal print, gold, black and then a marbled type print, then onto a tan card.

Circle swap

I'm not naming all the stamp designers for this card, it would take me 20 minutes to dig them all out again, and the kids will be here for dinner in about an hour. ( I still have the salad, bread and rice to make and here I am still stamping and posting .) The white oval is cut out and the sentiment is stamped on the inside of the card. The card is a cream color, and aged with different inks, a few accent pieces and it was a done deal! LOL Hope my swap partner likes it, I almost kept it! ;) Now about that dinner.....................................

April Showers

Image
Fun card, One stamp from inkadinkado. The rain drops actually have a 3-d drop made with a clear gel glue. The back grounds and April Showers were left over from scrapbook supplies. I love the flower trim, but I did add the rhinestones to it. This one went out on a swap for one of my stamp groups for Here Comes Spring!

All Sorts Challenge

I just finished this note book for a friend I work with. Her initials DR, even with the periods it looks like DR. LOL! Some pretty pink, soft floral paper, paint, then crackle medium, then paint; stamped images and a touch of floral ribbon finished the book. I had forgotten about sheer ribbon and hot glue OUCH! The book was originally the bright pink you see along the spine and black. I think it looks better this way, hope she feels the same Tuesday when I give it back to her.

Stamp Something Challenge: Dooddles

Image
I had this imaged stamped for some time, waiting for some attention. One night I was watching TV and the closet thing I could reach was a regular ole pencil, so I started shading in the image. I still needed some color, so over the graphite I use colored pencils to just shade in some color. I had trimmed it out, mounted it on the muted blue-gray and onto the lighter gray. Then it sat for a week. Hmmmmm? I finally mounted it onto a very dark blue, looks black in the scan, but it is blue, then onto a gray card and did the doodling to the right with a graphite pencil then over the top with a green colored pencil. Stamped the sentiment on the same gray then mounted it onto the same dark blue. The flower is from My Heart Stamps for You and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. This scan kinda washed it out a bit.

GC47 Color Challenge

Image
I have been working on this card for a swap, when I was browsing the blogs I fallow and realized this fell into the color challenge! The face is from Stamp ZIA, colored with pencil, trimmed out, then 3 coats of ultra thick UTTE. She is layered onto copper craft metal that had been wrinkled then rubbed with blue, green and a little brown for that patina look. The black leather paper was torn around the edges then rubbed with copper metallic rub-ons. I found the round copper and silver accent piece lurking in a forgotten box. It all lays on a muted green card. I love this card and hate to send it away, but I know my swap friend will enjoy it too.

Paper Play Challenge

Image
Rubber Sampede made this wonderful Sunflower stamp and Imaginational mad the sentiment. The middle flower is raised, but it doesn't show in the scan. I used colored pencils for he flowers. I am excited about the turn out of this card. With birthdays coming up it will be handy to have.

Critter challenge #4

I thought a round card might be fun to try. This is also my first card using a digital image. The card is white with a black circle then the image, and a little yellow bow to finish it off. This card is a 4" circle, just perfect for a thank you card, or anyway I think so........

Card Patterns sketch 54

Love those crazy mats and layers. My Heart Stamps for You is where the flowers are from. The daisies were stamped on white cs, then stamped on white vellum . I trimmed out the vellum and layered them onto the cs image to create a 3-D bouquet! A scrap of dots and bright yellow brought the card together and finishing touches wee the yellow and navy raffia with a white fabric flower. The whole time I was putting this together I kept thinking of Liz Clayborne fashions. She used a lot of this color combination, and I love her line of clothes, I just don't do well with the yellow green. LOL oh well, back to the stamping board.

Critter challenge 3

Image
I really wish this was the view from any of my windows! The lighthouse image is from Hero Arts, stamped on a white background. I then cut the window pane with my Cricut and layered it over the image, trimmed them both to size and add to a Burgundy card. The sentiment is from Art Gone Wild. A few very small sea shells were added to the glitter I used for sand. I an SOOOO ready to go to the beach.

tiles

Image
It has been a crazy busy week at work. We are expanding to incorporate a new tile showroom, and I get over there ( right next door, can't wait for them to cut the door between the two )and get to look around from time to time. It is usually to figure out what we are going to use for back splashes and sample tile boards. But I did pick up a few small tiles and brought them home to stamp on them. They now set on the counter at work. I have stamped tiles before and they are a nice change from cards. These I did not emboss, I usually do and they turn out a little better when I spray the sealer on them. I used water color paint to tint them. Tomorrow is my normal day off but I am going to work to get more sample tile boards done, so I will be at the construction sight more and at my desk less Wahoo! It'll give me a chance to go through the stuff they are going to trash. I did get some travatine, which is a natural stone, to make a sign for the front counter, I may even get it finis
