T Stands for Art

Hello everyone! Time for my T-day, with Elizabeth and T-gang again.  Boy this past week just wooooooshed by like lightening striking!! But the sun is shinning and the temperatures are in the 60s........might just be a false spring.......but I'll take it!

This past weekend was the Shafter Colour Festival and I have participated in the art gallery/show for the past three years. They always have the prettiest programs.

 This was my acrylic exhibit

The third side was for my Alcohol Ink pictures.  Below are random pictures I as I walked around during the "meet and greet the artists"

They had a local winery there for wine tasting, very nice people and their wine was very good.  My friend, Judy, stopped so we could pose for the camera (I'm on the left.....and my glass was behind her back...LOL!)

Last Monday was a no school day and Megan and Hannah came for some grandma time. They started with art journaling in their Bibles.  I have Megan's prepared so she just gets to color, while Hannah does her own, as we discuss the verse.

Megan left around 2 for a birthday party and Hannah stayed.  She wanted to try playing with the alcohol inks.........but she chose a straw instead of the heat gun.
A little tilting and blowing......makes me light headed to watch her LOL!  She is wearing one of my shirts over hers.........gosh! just yesterday my shirts hit her knees!

Since there are so many photos in this post I'll stop here.  I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the art.  It was really a great weekend.  I did sell one andreceived an order to paint one like the one I sold.   So all was good!

Verse one, this morning for MY Bible journaling

And of course one of my favorite verses......this is a new Bible (for myself) but I have illustrated this verse in nearly all the Grandkids' Bibles.

Hope you have a marvelous week full of love and blessings.

I loved that you took us to the art show-I really enjoyed it allot. I have not been to one since we retired here in the woods.
and a wine tasting too-that was a great idea.
Happy T Hugs Kathy
What a fun first evening at the art show. I really enjoyed seeing your paintings. I especially liked the cotton. They were all fantastic, though, as were your AIs.

First nights are always fun. You get to meet the artist and sip a bit, too. Thanks for taking us and sharing your drink with us for T this Tuesday.

Of course, I also really enjoyed seeing Megan and Hannah engrossed in art, too. That made me smile.

Your artwork is amazing! And I loved seeing the picture of you. You are so beautiful! How wonderful that you take the time to do art with your grandchildren. I love the idea of Bible journaling but have yet to try it. What a great way to teach the Bible and create at the same time.I may need to try this with my littles.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

I love your artwork. Especially the alcohol ink pieces. I would think the straw and tilting method would be fun, but I'd run out of air. I have used canned air instead for that technique. Such fun with the grandgirls! :)
Congratulations on the exhibition! I especially love your alcohol inks. I enjoy seeing your modern Bible illuminations. An old tradition made new again. Sweet :) Happy T Day

Well done for being in the exhibition! That must be a really spoecial experience to see your art work hung in public.
I was fascinated by the Bible journaling. I had heard of it and know of it but I had never seen it done. I suppose you have to have a special Bible with empty spaces. I think it's good to illustrate favorite verses, as it helps memorising them.
Happy belated T-Day,
Lisca
