Journal page in soft colors

Happy Sunday!!
While in San Diego I had bought a couple of magazines to brows through and came across this picture in an ad.  I don't remember what the ad was for, but I fell in love with the image of the white horse and woman in white.
I had decided that I really didn't want black ink on this page so it became a challenge.  Let's face it black ink shows well on almost any color.  I had used TH Distressed ink pads, faded jeans and fired brick, for the background, watering them down to make a softer effect.  Using the faded jeans ink I stamped the Rogue Readheads background script stamp and the the Inkadinkado flourishes.  The blue toned flowers are Modeling paste using a stencil, then rubbing the ink over the centers and leaves.  The pink flowers were just ink and stencil.

The sentiment is from 7 Gypsyies, as soon as I saw it I knew I would buy it for this page.  It too is stamped using the faded jeans ink.
This was a soothing page to work on, even though there were times I reached for the black ink pad....LOL

I do hope you'll take a moment and enlarge the picture.  I purposely gesso rather sloppy for texture and also to leave some of the raw paper for the inks, paints, or what ever I am using to soak in and become a little darker.

So there ya have it, hope you lie it as much as I do.

Inky Hugs

The journal page is lovely, a kind of surreal mystical feel, I too often find images in magazines I want to capture.

Beautiful soft and gentle image. The page shows off the image and the image shows off the page.

That is so soft and dreamy - a beautiful composition. Something you have every right to be proud of. Gorgeous!

ps it would be well worth repeating on cardstock and mounting as a picture for the wall.
