WOYWW 202- We're Home Again

Happy WOYWW!!! It feels so good to be "home", there really is no place like it (in many ways).  I'm so excited to be participatinging WOYWW: What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!  Haven't be able to participate in 3 weeks EEEEKK! With drawls are really rough!  Hope over to:
http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/2013/04/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday-202.html
to find out what this is all about, the GREAT WEEKLY DESK SNOOP!

So here is Betsy, we are unloaded but not unpacked so "stuff" is just piled on the desk top.  Some new stamps, stickers and chipboard letters (I got there chip board letters at the $$ store!!) and then there is all the usual stuff, box of working tools, new smuggers, new pencil sharpener and on the left is a Mega Mount (also new) for the large stamp right in the middle.

Second picture is a shot of my case, of more stuff waiting to be put back where they belong.  This would not be a "BAD" thing, except there is something in every room of the house that looks the same. LOL  A month is quite awhile to be away.  But more on that later.

I did have plenty of time to work in my art journal and even did some cards and tags, but the editing program I put on my new laptop doesn't seem to like Windows 8!!  So I will get a lot of posting done this week.

I do apologise to the DT team at The Cheerful Stamp Pad for missing a dead line.  I will be making that up this week also, such a great challenge.  Check it out at:

Well in keeping with Miss Julia's rules, I'll stop here.  More about the trip, with pictures of our new arrival and lots of journal pages...........now off to get my fix of snooping.

It's nice to see other crafter's work space, we discover similarities and are comforted by that. Great space everything within reach and visible. Welcome home.

There have been many complaints about Windows 8 and I hope you get it all figured out. What photo editing program do you use? Welcome back and have a great week!

Hi Krisha, Welcome back, if I went away for a month it would take me a month to get everything ujnpacked again. I have heard a few people say they are having problems with windows 8 so you are not on your own. I am still on Vista so cant help. Thanks for your visit Hugs Mo #35
We hate Windows 8 and spend more time on the tablet now instead! Were we the only ones imagining you clicking your heels when you said there's no place like home? ;)

Waving hi from the bears @#78 this week.
Hi Krisha, thanks for your visit earlier..its great to go away but in the end, theres no place like home. Have been debating about getting another laptop but with windows 7 if poss, I want to be able to use all of the editing suites I have - from what everyones
saying this seems a good idea. Hope you can get yours to work properly. Happy WOYWW Gill x #82

You will soon sort it all out and get down to making lots of new goodies. Home is always welcoming after a vacation no matter how fabulous the place you stayed or how beautiful the natural scenery.

Krisha, welcome home. I'm sure Betsy missed you as much as you missed her.
I am so sorry I missed the post about Taylor. This is what happens when you miss a few days, you miss something big! He is so cute.
Please say you have a photo of his feet! I love baby feet! Since you can't bottle the smell of baby, I like to see their feet. ;-)
Thanks for your wishes for my parents, Dad as you know is fine, Mum goes for pins in her wrist in the morning, so hoping that works well for her. She is to be known as the Bionic Pensioner now. (As will have 2 pinned wrists and a metal ankle!)

Hi Krisha! After so long away it is always good to be home. I am like that after a week lol! Your desk looks like how mine looks most of the time :-). Love the daylight lamps you have....I REALLY need one of those as my lighting is terrible! The faces hanging over your window look great! I love doing faces. I keep looking at your desk and seeing great things that I would like to get lol!! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier and happy WOYWW.

it's great going away and nice coming home but it's the unpacking and washing I detest most of all.
Good luck at getting back to normal.
Thanks for visiting me earlier - Hugs, Neet xx 5

Time to stop and give yourself a hug! Being away, and coming home to unpack just isn't the most fun part of the trip, but you don't have to do it all at one time. You certainly have lots of interesting looking stuff on your desk, lots of things to play with and create! Hope you can take some time to do that this week, Hugs, Cathryn #141

Wow! Lots of stuff on your desk, you don't have to cry you have lots of stuff there! Ally Pally is a small show in comparison with the ones you have in the States! And believe me crafty stuff is much cheeper in the States! Smile and be happy!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian

Welcome home! Dying to see the new IO stamp. I gave up trying to use the mega mount. Find putting the stamp flat on the desk and applying the paper to it works better for me. Do let us know how you like that rocker mount ...or not. Finally getting do my woyww snooping. WOYWWer #3. Nan G

Hi Krisha,

Welcome back home! I notice you are in southern CA. I grew up in Tracy, I guess you'd call that north-central valley. I now live in New Mexico.

Your travel case looks great!!!

Happy WOYWW
