WOYWW 215: What’s on Betsy

WOYWW 215 001
Well it’s time for an other WOYW, didn’t we JUST DO THIS??  Oh ya, an other week has slipped through my fingers….LOL  So here is Betsy this week. If your new you need to start here: What is WOYWW  Then link up here: Stamping Ground. I have been trying a few things, like the paper feather in the middle, and those folded things are practice pages for an ATC book (I watched a video on them on You Tube this morning after T stands for Tuesday, did you check it out this morning?) There is also a Graphic 45 tablet waiting for an other idea, Hannah’s birthday card there on the right on top of those same ATC that were there last week ( guess I should get those posted) There is a sketch challenge I’m still thinking on, a piece of paper from a Thomas Kincaid paper pack and the rest is the typical “Betsy stuff”
Many people have left comments about my desk being called Betsy.  Yes, I did name my desk on a whim one week, and decided to leave her named
WOYWW 215 002
Next up is the pot that is always there in the back with bottles of glue upside down in it, so here is a closer look.  I received flowers in it many, many years ago, then one day I need something to hold those glue bottles upside down in and I grabbed it, and it just worked!!

And last is the light everybody is going on about.  It is an Ott light that I bought for the DH cause he complains about the lighting in here.  Well, he didn’t like the light either, so it came over to Betsy.  I bought it at Office Depot.  I love having two Ott lights to work with.
WOYWW 215 004
WOYWW 215 003 So that's it for this week, Julia just posted so it is time for me to link up and join the party, so here I come!!

Fancy seeing you here!

I have two Ott lights, well actually three if you count the one in my office. One is in my basement studio, the other in my main floor craft room. I use the one in the basement for lighting. I use the one in the craft room for reading color. It's amazing how these lights show true colors.

Have a great WOYWW from #2.

I think you are the only WOYWW-er that has a named desk... ;) Betsy certainly looks busy this week and I love your OTT light, I have one back home in Scotland and could really use it here in the basement! Annette #8
Just read your question on my blog. I plan to show it on Monday when we do the wrap-up of Summer of Color.

Y'know for ages now I thought Besty was a doll...or was that someone else's who had a paper doll with a 'face' If I had to name my desk it would be either Woody or something else...like Wheresmy?, because that's what I'm always saying, or Whatamess, (after a dog story i used to read to the girls) coz it is!
Happy Crafting!

Happy WOYWW!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, that always makes me happy :D. I want an OTT. They are very cool. With 5 kids and 3 dogs, throwing any more names in the mix would confuse me…. I have named my GPS though, her name is Georgia. Odd, I know. That big 12x12 pad of paper looks mighty pretty. What brand is that? Have a great week. (((HUGS)))

I have never seen one of these lights before here in Australia, it has such an interesting shape and looks like it would definitely throw a good amount of light on your work area will have to do a search on them. I love how you have named your desk too. Enjoy your crafting week ahead!

I like the idea of having two lamps for my work area. I only have a flexible long neck Ott-Lite that clamps on the edge of my desk. I also like to use meaningful vessels to keep my stuff, because of the warmth they bring. Blessings!

Ha ha I did not know your desk had a name - awesome. Betsy looks like a hive of activity. I have wanted an OTT light for a while, but haven't had the funds, so that is going to be my first 'new job' treat to myself :) Happy WOYWW Cx #36

I had a go at making a paper feather this week too, after seeing some lovely ones on Toni's blog and an American lady's whose name I can't remember! I love the look of those lights, I want one! I love that you named your desk and if I had one instead of our dining room table I would certainly name it - don't know what though! Julie Ann x#45

As I get older I need lots of extra light to play by! Love your Ott lights! Looks like you have a lot going on! Love your space and I'm becoming a follower this morning!

We just have a regular standard bendy lamp so far but may invest in something better for the winter, as the desk is in the darkest corner.

That little pot looks almost too good to be used for upturned glue pots, it’s so pretty.

I’m loving the new light too. Don’t think I’ve seen those before.

I don't know, Krisha, you can't use poor lighting as an excuse for a crookity piece on your artwork, can you?! I actually think that's a brill idea! Your Betsy was fun to eyeball today! Thanks for coming by to visit me already! Happy WOYWW and have a wonderful week! Darnell #20

I haven't splurged on an Ott light yet but as these eyes get older, I'm thinking more about the purchase. Cool thing about WOYWW are the tips we get from the rest of the group - like putting the glue bottles UPSIDE DOWN in a container. Duh! Thanks for shining a light on my brain today! Creative Blessings! Kelly #105

The weeks do seem to stream by, don't they? I have a similar container that flowers once came in and I use it to hold colored pencils & miscellaneous pens. It's fun to reuse decorative items that way. Happy WOYWW from Laura #101

Love my Ott lite too. Even though my desk is by the window, at night the light is poor. I do have strip daylight fluorescents, but the Ott makes a world of difference. Have a great week, Hugs Shaz xx #50

We have an inanimate object named Betsy at our house too. It's a Ranger Side by Side off road vehicle though. My sweetie says he bought it to plow the snow, but it's pretty fun to run around on too! So naturally I felt right at home visitng another Betsy. And I concur wih Ali, she's awfully busy. Which sounds just blissful. Great storage for your inks and pens...looks very handy and colorful!! Thanks for visiting the Fun Room this week.

Well, Krisha, Betsy certainly is looking busy and productive this week! Thanks for sharing some pics of your curvaceous light which I admired so much last time! I love the paper feather.

I have lots of things with names here - Tilly my trolley (she recently acquired an identical twin who is over at the new house, called Tilly Mk II lol!), Boris my blow-up bath lift, and of course Katie, our car!

Having two lamps is a great idea, I just have two down lights and they tend to make a yellow colour on things so I only paint in the day.
Love that little vase.
Have a great week.
