World Card Making Day Post #1

Let's Capture These Sketches is having a 4 part challenge for World Card Making Day! (Isn't it grand to have a day for us card makers??) The first challenge was to scraplift or case a designer, giving two to choose from.  I chose this one, like the simplicity of it.  The card designer is Sherl, really a great card!

This is my card.  I keep going from fall colors to Halloween and back to the fall colors.  While digging around in my stash I found a double paint chip I had printed on the PC for a swap last year, so that is what was trimmed to length and used for the middle.  The image, from Hero Arts was stamped right onto it.  LOVE this stamp and tend to use it a lot with the fall colors.  The other papers are all from my stash!  The leaves at the bottom are something NEW I bought last Monday.  I thought they were silk, but they are some type of thin crisp paper product. (?)  I bought a whole bag for $1.50, so I'll have them for years to come I'm sure!  This challenge is running all week, BUT TODAY is the WORLD CARD MAKING DAY.  Each of the 4 challenges have to be posted separately, but can be combined with OTHER challenges.  Oh for heaven sakes go on over to their blog and check it out, the rules are posted on each challenge.  Get going!!!
