Ciao Bell, my first digital image

Image
I so admire the people that draw the digital images, and don't know how many times I've given it a try.  A couple weeks ago I had this image wiggling around in my brain and wondered if I could actually get it on paper.  One night I took my tablet to bed and just doodled around for awhile and then set her in motion.  After MANY adjustments I finally got the image, as my mind's eye saw it.  So I scanned it into my PC, this is 50% smaller than the original.  I colored her with felt pens.  The background was stamped with flourishes from Ikadinkado stamps.  The lay out is for the Card Patterns Sketch 158 ( see sketch below) check it out here: http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/2012/03/sketch-158.html The very pretty ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon, my monthly stash. LOL  The flower is a grungie I made from the background paper and using soft rose in to darken it. The Ciao Bella was the first thought I had when I finished the drawing ( fun...

Too OLD For Spring Break????

Image
Well.....I think that is a state of mind, and my mind went to Hawaii!! LOL!! over at the http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/  the challenge is Spring Break Vacation Destination. I have just had too much seriousness in my life for the past couple of weeks and I had to break loose and do something with some humor.  Rubber Impressions is where my lady came from and the palm trees are from Rubber Stampede.  There is a little of everything on this card, ink, colored pencil, felt pens, chalk and stickers (the aloha).  I do love this old gal, maybe it's because I can relate to her LOL!!  During my small break for my blog I did get a chance to read a couple of books..... ..that's how I get to sleep when there is just too much to think about .   Who knows maybe I'll make this vacation destination one day!!!!

I work in a zoo.......

.....or so it feels like at times LOL!  My friend Tracy gave me this elephant stamp, isn't it just the cutest???  I know this scan isn't the greatest, but I didn't want to squash the flowers before I gave it to her.  It is a tent style name plate for in front of her computer.  I stamped the image on a gray cs and then just highlighted and shadowed with pencil, added the flowers ( for some color, plus she loves flowers ) The letters are stickers. It isn't a very big name plate only 4 1/4 across.  The flowers are some grunge ones I made, just added some ribbon and a couple silk leaves.
