  It isn't birthday time....yet but they are on their way and I actually got a head start on them this year!  This card is for our youngest son who will be turning........well, he will have a birthday...LOL!   The background was made using the pearl powders and embossing ink, really doesn't show well in this scan at all.......I'm about done with scanning, since my camera is sitting right here and it really isn't any more work to get them onto the PC.  Of course you should recognize the bird, he was already cut and colored, making this a quick card. I don't always prepare the insides till time to give them, but I couldn't resist doing this one.  It will be signed Mom and Dad.  I paper pieced the one on the left in a plaid shirt......which is what DH almost always wears....... and I have so many baseball caps and straw hats ..........they have both become   family jokes so it is a fitting inside.....LOL!   I'm entering thi...

Well, it's been over a week since my last post.....and what a week it was.....but that's irrelevant. What I have to share today is more of a customer complaint/Friday smiles.....huh????  Let's just go back to yesterday (Thursday)..............   Having some time on my hands, before getting a back adjustment, I stopped in at Michael's Craft Store.......just for some spray adhesive.......     Here is a silly card that depicts my reaction (Friday Smiles)......AGAIN, since it isn't the first store I've walked into, that has it ALL out (customer complaint).  The ONLY defense, I could give them, was all the Halloween/Fall stuff was 70% off.......LOL.......and did I partake?  For sure!!   While wondering down the art supply isle, I started a conversation with a very nice lady that was looking for some good colored pencils.......as she had two adult coloring books in her arms.  She was gathering something to do while she go...

Here we are rounding the curve of this week and heading for the weekend.  With the weeks wizzzzing by, and each with a curve, I definitely feel like I'm going round in circles....   First I must apologize for the blurry looking scan...........this happens when you use pop dots and DON'T close the scanner.....LOL I made this card specially for a close friend of mine, the "crazy" birds are perfect for her sense of humor.  They are stamped directly to the card base, then colored with Inktense and blended with an Aqua brush.  The eyes of the left three are raised with pop dots.  The inside of the card reads: "We all have that one smart ass friend....Oh wait, that's me!" She should get the card today, no she does not read my blog.  She only lives three doors down, but I still mailed it to her just cause it is fun to get mail!
