The  Art Journal Journey  challenge, for the month of October, is right at end.......with a woosh the month has flown by.  I am just getting this entered under the wire. The background, of this journal page was a mash of scraps, then painted over with acrylic.  My inspiration for this was this mood board from Mixed Media Monthly ....Yep! I getting in under the wire on this one too....LOL Hope you day is going great and is full of wonderful creativity.  It is Sunday morning here, and we are getting an other shower of rain........smell so fresh outside....mmmmmm! All right! A new week has begun.........Wooohooo!  Mondays have gotten such a bad wrap over the years.....having to "go" to work made me feel the same way, but retirement has changed the light on Mondays.....for me anyway.  My weekend was a total "wash out"!  With DH home we just puttered around here....watched a lot of TV ....er....he did.  I'm the one that just puttered around.  We did go to the Spring Home and Garden Show Sunday......but I'll cover that later. If you dropped by last week, you will recall I have been on a card marathon.......no, not one with a prize for finishing, or anything like that.  Just one made up in my own mind...*grin*  My cell phone has the Pinterest app on it.....yeah, I've gone tekkkkie.....LOL  So, while DH is watching all "his" programs I usually sit and play Word with Friends and scroll through Pinterest.  I found a card I wanted to CASE This pretty card was made by Biggan at http://bigganed.bl...

More Mixed Media and some photo fun

It is midway through the More Mixed Media challenge and the challenge for this month is "Blue".... a nice winter color don't you think? All though our weather is more gray than blue, since the fog has rolled in.   This journal page started with some scraps of blue prints that I had die cut flowers from.  Gesso and blue paint were added then some of the left over die cut flowers (TH Tattered Flower die)  Once it all dried I took some Pitt pens and doodled all over it.   With DH home (way more than usual due to the rain) I have been relaxing on the sofa, in the evenings, watching the programs HE likes to watch (which he tapes then watches)  I'm not too much into some of the reality ( or should I say "almost" reality) programs he watches......but I digress. It dose give me time to just sit and doodle and spend time with him.......I do have to comment once in  a while.....LOL!!   I was scanning this page and putting it through MS D...
