T Stands for Paint Pals

Welcome back T-Gang, friends and followers, thanks for stopping by today.  It is Monday here, and raining again......I do love the rain.  If it weren't quite so chilly, I'd throw open the windows and let all the fresh air ( yes, California has pockets of fresh air...LOL) in and be able to listen to the rain come down.  Oh well, I have my cup of coffee right here to keep my hands warm as it is.  If I open the windows I'd have to find a pair of gloves.

Last Tuesday I had some painting pals come over and we painted abstract poppies together.......right along with a video on You Tube!!! It was a painting with Jane video that we all agreed we would give it a try, since it was done with a pallet knife. If your interested you can see the video You Tube video Here>
So let me introduce my painting pals:

(notice the TV showing video in the background)
For all the T-Gang......there were bottles of water for all of us.  Patty and I had just switched over to sparkling Ice flavored water.

Here are our masterpieces.

It is so much fun to see how they are all the same.....but different. When using a pallet knife the paint goes on thick and takes a while to dry.....even acrylic.  Since none of us like to watch paint dry we went out to lunch.  We were laughing and talking so much I completely forgot to take any pictures!!  It was just the local Mexican restaurant that I have shared photos of before.  BUT it always tastes so much better when sharing with good friends. We all decided we would get together once a month and paint......and the next date was set.....February 21.  I have an other friend that wants to join us then, so then there will be five!

So, who painted which one???

Did you guess correctly??

What a lot of fun and brilliant results too WOW!
Lovely poppy paintings one and all.
Thank you for sharing the video link.
Not wanting to watch paint dry made me giggle.
Yes on food with friends and time to play...does a body good.
Happy T Day Krista oxo
I would give anything to find a few friends to share mixed media with. I could never paint like that, even if someone held my hand, but mixed media is another story. I LOVE what you and your friends accomplished. True works of art and it was FREE, too. Just think how much all of you saved, even though you didn't have any wine (grin).

Thanks for sharing your art and water (I LOVE ZERO Ice) with us for T this soon to be Tuesday. Can't wait for the 21st to see what you make next.

What a good time you had! A great idea to organize a paint party. I suppose you did it for the little girls and liked it, thinking you would organize one for your friends. The poppies are all beautiful. (all posts today seem to have a theme of 'red') As you say, they are the same but different.
I'm looking forward to see what you do on the 21st.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
