Work is Good week #2

Week two, already, for the challenge over at:
So there is still time to enter.
Here are the dish towels, or as Mom would have said tea towels, that I did a transfer onto, then stamped the Hello with a StazOn ink with an Inkadinkado stamp. (you must be careful when heat setting the ink. I did it slowly with my embossing gun, and from a distance as not to melt the transfer)
I did color the image with Tombow markers BEFORE ironing the image to the towel.
I am really disappointed in the quality of flour sack towels these days. (I am really telling my age here)  I still have a couple my Mom had and they are soooo much better.  She used to embroider them with the days of the week and cute little pictures.  Does anybody still do that? Or has that fallen away with the use of dishwashers??  I still use them, some of the glasses have that indented bottom that holds the water.  DH says those are for drying dishes( yes he is OLD too) and wants a hand towel to dry his hands on.  Now what is the difference when your hands are wet??? LOL
So what kind of Work is Good for you?  I'm sure you can think of some thing, then get it linked up at:

great idea to make some tea towels--my earliest "work" helping mom dry dishes.

What a great idea and I do love those towels! Would make nice gifts! Did you also receive the heavy winds and dust?
