Fun in the Sun

Vacation blog 001

"Fun in the Sun"???? NOT!!!! O-M-GOSH! yesterday was a bugger it was so hot and humid here.  Try 110' F and complete overcast, I mean it LOOKED like it was going to rain!   There was one point I was wishing it WOULD rain, just to cool things off.  It has really slowed down my packing of the Playhouse, even though it has air conditioning I have to get from here to there........I know I am getting to be such a sissy.  But we leave tonight and I do have to get my old butt in gear and get all the food aboard (I do so like to eat)
So a little about my card.......
It is a real photo of the sky, the sun was stamped into Filmo clay, baked, then highlighted with markers, this is an up cycle thing that was buried in that basket of junk   things that was beside my paper cutter. ( There is no way I would be turning on my oven  just to bake an embellishment!) The bottom banner is vellum stamped with a generic alphabet set.
That's it!! Gotta get busy now.  I have some things resting in the draft section that I do hope to get posted during the time I am away from Betsy, but ya know how it can be when I have the Grand Ds. with me.......LOL
For those who celebrate: Happy 4th of July and please celebrate safely!!

Hi Krisha, thanks for reminding us here just what the sun looks like.
Yesterday I watched my son's swimming gala in the outdoor pool underneath an umbrella and blanket!

We are out of that heat though I expect your heat will move east to bake us. Love that you baked the sun in the sun! I try to use the micro or the outdoor grill in summer, no baking at Chez Monica.

have a great trip and hope the coast is cool.

Smashing card - and what a good idea to use a photograph for the background.
