A Second look for the 2nd of May

Grab button for Second on the 2nd

Wowser! Time for a second look again???.........I'm still wondering what happened to April!  This being May 2nd it is time to link up with Altered Book Lover and share a second look at an event, art, or other ramblings from you blog.

This morning I was roaming through some old posts and came across this one from 2010.  As I read it I thought "Funny, this is how I feel today!"..........and I'm retired now!

So here's to  a second look...............

Endless Summer You're Invited!!
Last month I was in an anonymous image swap (SSUS) we were sent two images and had to choose one and make a card with it. This is the one I didn't send, but with the summer heat heading our way next week, and the fact I followed a toy hauler (trailer) headed for the beach today ,on the way home from work, made me think of summer vacations. (I just think and dream about them) Soooooo, I am sending this to all of you stampers in other parts of the country and world! LOL The background is a scanned coaster / post card from a restaurant in San Diego. I did cut off the handcrafted beer part of it, but I did drink the beer! LOL! Some Cricut palms and a sand castle were added, along with sand, sea shells and sunglasses. I am SO ready to head for the beach and ride in the sand buggies.......................

Isn't it funny when we look back and remember how we felt then. I bet you're enjoying retirement though. The trouble is there aren't enough hours in the day are there or perhaps we just do things more slowly. Enjoy the rest of your day Krisha. Barbxx

Endless summer, what a lovely thought! Here it's still cold, although we did have some sun today, you could only go to the beach here with rubber boots and winter coat. Still whether the weather is good or bad, I still enjoy being retired, as I'm sure you do too. Have a great May. Hugs, Valerie

Oh I do love the thought of an endless summer ♥ Thanks for sharing!!!! ♥
I am so glad you reposted this because this one was before I knew your blog existed. It is a wonderful card and I enjoyed reading how you created it.

I could take a bit of warmth here, too. And less rain, but I will never complain about rain, since we were so dry most of the winter. In fact, I read we had less than 2" of moisture between December 1 and the last of April, at which time we got over 5" of rain in less than 2 days.

Thank you again for sharing this second look with us on the 2nd.

This gives such a lovely impression of a warm day at the beach on a jolly holiday.
Love the happy couple with their inflatable ring.
Hopefully it will be a warm sunny day here one day soon.
A warm day anywhere would be nice - I had my winter coat on at the weekend! The weather forecaster says it will improve by the weekend! So pleased you showed this as I would never have seen it otherwise! Hugs, Chrisx
This is such a fun piece. I am so glad you shared it again. :) Erika
