WOWW 171

There it is in all it's glory........my work desk! Did you come by way of Julia's blog? If not you can peek at other's work spaces by going to: http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/  I'm heading there myself  after I hit the Publish button......LOL
I haven't had a stamp in my hand for 6 days!! So this evening I had to have a fix.  I'm working on a fall leaf card that layers up.  I had my art journal with the pages gesso'd and ready to go.  That cup in the upper right corner is going to be my inspiration for my next journal page, my souvenir from Sea World this last weekend (more on that tomorrow)  I was going through some grunge paper and there were all these negative pieces that were interesting so they are piled on the journal.  Under the art journal is my journal of 'tangles. (I take this to bed for a 15 minute "Zen" period every night)  There is my new crystal from Sea World in the upper middle, turned black from the flash, a finished card that didn't get posted in time. my white coffee cup, stamps from JRL Designs that I used for the card and all the other brick-a-brack I was using.
This is how I spent my day.......cleaning the desk used for our one-truck business.  You can actually SEE the desk now!(I should have taken a b-4 picture) Now I can resume doing a lot of the paper work and free up some time for DH on the weekends.
So that's it for this weeks Whats On your Workdesk Wednesday, how is yours looking? Go to Julia's, post a picture so I cam come have a look-see, and yes I'll bring the wine......LOL off to peek at the other work desks...................

That layered up card is fabulous. Love the design and the colours. Zentangle is getting so popular here. Your book looks like fun...I like the idea of the 15 minutes to unwind!
Thanks for the kind comments about my surgery...i am really nervous so keeping busy organizing helps.

Now that is a nice tidy desk. I like that you kept all the negatives from your grunge paper I am sure they will come in great use. A 15 min. Zen period before the ZZZZ what a good idea.

I can't seem to get into the Zen of Zentangle. I just worry too much I'll make a mess of it. Clearly, I have control issues :) But DH is from So Cal (San Diego) and he is very laid back 99% of the time (at least on the surface) but me? NY/DC East coast, so wound way to tight :)

Still, the idea is a good one. But then I would fall asleep and miss the WOYWW post LOL!

Love the busy craft desk you have there, you can keep the other one, I know which one I'd rather sit at!! Lovely mug from Sea World, we went to the one in San Diego many years ago and really loved it. I can't wait to get stuck in to that box of stamps on my desk too, but first I have given myself s stern talking to and have decided to have a clean up first!

I see your Zentangle peeking out and that layered card is great. It is horrible when you have to down craft tools and actually do businsess at home, I am in the same position here too.

Your desk is creativitiy in action.

Love the colours on the many-layered card - those autumn shades are firm favourites ... love this time of the year here in Scotland. Thank you for your kind comment on my family history layout - it's an ongoing project that is going to take a long time to complete - but it will be worth it. Hope you have a lovely weekend. LOVE your layered card!! I just started making those a few weeks ago, but I've only done 6 layers so far...it looks like yours is 10!! It's gorgeous. I also love the little mouse card up in the top right corner of your pic...CUTE!!

Thanks for the tip on getting rid of the strands from a hot glue gun! The post I was referring to wasn't about me getting burnt by the glue (thanks goodness) but about me FREAKING out when I felt the barely visible strands on my legs and thought it was a spider! It was late and I'm a dork!!
