January Icy Blues and Silver

A frosty little card in honor of all my blogger friends that are experiencing bitter cold weather, some with snow added in there.  I do pray all of you are safe and warm.

Over at Rubber Dance Art Stamps they have a color challenge for the month of January.......yes I am just making it under the time wire.....LOL.  The colors are icy blues and silver, and those colors always make a pretty wintery card, don't ya think??

I chose a snowflake flurry from Inkadinkado for the main image and embossed it with a mixture of opaque white and tinsel silver embossing powder.  The background paper is really more blue than the scanner depicts, more like the card base color, only pearlescent.  I believe the sentiment is from Stamping Up ......I've had it for ever and you can no longer read the side of it.....grin!
The blue is mounted on a piece of mirrored silver corrugated cs then all onto the card base, that I had swiped an ocean blue stamp pad around the edges.  The snowflakes were cut with the Cricut in white and silver glitter paper.  Aside from the card base I used all scraps to make the card.......yeah!!

Thanks for stopping for a look, please leave a comment (I love to read them ya know!)

Ooh, pretty card! I love all the silver, especially the corrugated CS. Amazingly, the bad weather has not hit us here in MN, and our snow is actually melting. I'm sure our turn will come, though...

Very pretty. I've never seen that kind of corrugated paper but you made good use of it.
