What was I saying.........

Oh......yesterday I was saying how hard it was to make a sympathy card when in need of one.  After posting the last one I thought I really should do one more..........plus I wanted to use this Daisy stamp. I got the image DTP and was adding the soft colors, using my new Faber Castell pens and I noticed a finger print just above the "So".........gerrrrrrrrr!  Well, I just did a curvy cut and eliminated it, and added a parchment behind it.  This parchment is like a super heavy version of a vellum...just love this stuff.  I then added the same Light Ice Blue around the edge to tie it together.

Back to the title of this post, as I was saying..............Just as I realized I had an unwanted finger print I received a text that a friend's brother had just died.  We have been friends for years and even co-workers for over 10 years.  Our boy's grew up together, and well this card just seemed to fit her better than the one I made yesterday.

I had this stamp set (not the sentiment) from Stampendous before.......before???  Yes, this is my second one.......no I did not wear out the first one.....grin.   I accidently grabbed the wrong stamp cleaner.....the one that states "Do Not Use On Clear Acrylic Stamps" and just cleaned it up nicely.  Well, there is a reason that statement is on the bottle.........it clearly demolishes the stamp, I mean eats it up, melts it down (well not quite) but you get the picture.  It was a cleaner for red rubber stamps and to clean off StazOn ink, and at that strength I wouldn't even use it on a RR stamp.  I don't remember who made it or where I even found the stuff, and regardless of the price I threw it in the TRASH!!!

I am going to link this card to the same two challenges as yesterday, they are both about "New Schtuff".........the butterfly and the sentiment have never been used before.

I love that you are on a creative roll, Krisha, but I'm sorry that you actually needed this sympathy card right away. It's another wonderful card and you were very clever with your "fix" of the smoodge! If you hadn't told us, we would have just thought you were very innovative with your edge!! Thank you for linking again with the joint CASology and NBUS challenges! Hugs, Darnell

Hey Krisha!! I love your card. Its such a peaceful, beautiful card. The yellow is so eye catching. I also love the front panel cut. Nicely done. Thanks for playing along with us this week at CASology.
