T Stands for Pigs, Sunflowers and Birds

Well, time to link up with the T-Gang! If your new to my Tuesday posts, about the T-gang, then click the link and find out what all the fun is about.
As I am sitting here, sipping a nice hot cup of coffee, Ill give you a quick run down on what I've been up to......you might want to refill what ever your drinking before we begin.........ready now?  Here we go!!
Last Friday, I shared a photo of my bag of fabric for a pigs head wearing a crown, a table cloth and a table runner. Not everyone saw those items......LOL ......but here they are.........

This gives you an idea of the size of the flag.  It is 3 ft. x 5 ft.  Yes the head is NOT centered on purpose, so that when it hangs, the head does not hide in the folds.......or that is my intention...*grin*
A closer look, he does look mean doesn't he??.......NOT my idea.  Youngest son had the logo made a couple years ago...........said the pig was mad because we were cooking pork.  What ever.......!!!!
Now the oldest son wants me to but it on the back too.......well why didn't he say so before I stitched it down on the front!!!!........KIDS!!!!  I kept the pattern I made, but I'm not too sure I can pull it off.  Will give it a try this week, or over the weekend........or maybe NOT....*grin*

My new sunflower table cloth.  Our house is so dark, then I have dark furniture, that it really brightened up the room.......Just love it.
The burlap runner, I frayed all around it.......after stay stitching of course.  I haven't decided if I am gong to leave it plain or decorate it........what do you think?  It was suggested I go for a walk and pick some pretty fall leaves to sprinkle on it..........lovely idea, but I would have to wait till mid November.....LOL.  Here in SOCAL they don't turn till Thanksgiving.  I might hit the $$ store and just buy some silk ones...........but still not sure..........but it does call for a center piece eh???

Now for the bird part of the title.................

Yes, (hanging my head) I finally caved and bought the Crazy Birds stamps and die set.  I have been really trying to resist these, cause they are so darn expensive!!!! Then I got an email notice that a vender, I frequent, had them BOTH on sale, and with FREE shipping.......what else could I do????
And the answer to THAT question is break down and buy the full set of Inktense Water Color pencils (on Amazon for 40%off and FREE shipping).........oh don't shout at me, for I am a weak when it comes to  art supplies......and in my defense........ DH has always told me to get the BEST tools for the job......so I did!

Now I'm off to link up and go visiting the rest of the T-Gang......grab your cup and come with???

Inky Hugs

Congrats on your new bird stamps and pencils - have BIG fun. Love your new tablecloth and the burlap runner - I think it looks great plain as it is. Love the piggy flag, too. Enjoy your coffee, have a good week and a happy T day, hugs, Valerie

Love the pig flag... only you would make one, Krisha! Your sunflower table cloth is wonderfully bright and cheery in contrast to all that lovely dark wood and the runner is great, think I would go with silk leaves as the real thing would mark it. Happy T Tuesday to you and your world mug!!

Hello and Happy T Day! What a pretty table setting with the cloths on it. Pretty and ready for the fall weather to start. How cute those bird stamps are, you did so good on them. The story of getting them made me laugh, so funny what we do to get our art goodies, I do the same too. Enjoy them!!
Thanks for sharing and have a good week.

I don't know how you resisted those cute birdies for this long! can't wait to see everything you create with them...the BBQ pig flag is terrific. I completely understand about the son asking for well, maybe not the impossible, just the merely difficult. guess it's a compliment that he thinks you can whip it up in a jiffy!! ;) Lovely tablecloth...I actually have burlap on my table also, with silk fall leaves! My centerpiece is a white tray with vintage bottles inside it. Maybe I can get a picture taken for the blog...hmmm....? Happy T day to you, have a great week!
We can't blame the pig for being mad, but we won't every give up bbq ;) I love that sunflower table cloth. Happy T Tuesday!
I love your tablecloth! Well done for your bargain(!!!) buy! I love the birds too but like you I will be patient until they are the right price!!! I'm sure you will enjoy your Inktense pencils! Looking forward to seeing what you make now!! Chrisx
I like the table the way it is. You don't need the leaves, silk or real. Leaves are starting to turn yellow around here. Not many, but a few, so that is why I suggested it. Guess my knowledge (or lack of it) of your area is showing (grin).

The pig turned out GREAT. Not sure I would try to add a pig on the back, but I'm not one who could have made the original pig, either.

OK, I see lots of people have those birds, and I KNOW lots of people love them. Sadly, I prefer the more realistic birds, so they don't appeal to me. However, they fit your style so well, and I know you will put them, AND your new watercolor pencils to great use.

Thanks for sharing the banner, the table runner, and your birds with us for T this Tuesday.

BTW, you asked how I got the Safe Communities event together. Every year I get a letter from the police department because I am the block captain for our block. For YEARS I held a block party in August as part of National Night Out. When attendance dwindled to three people and the heat was overwhelming, I stopped hosting a party. Last year I decided to ask my neighbor if she would translate because I wanted a bi-lingual event, since the neighborhood was changing so much. Last year's event was well attended, but this year's was not so well attended. The event (national) is supposed to be held in Oct., but for some weird reason, the city decided to have it in Sept. Thanks for asking.

I like the burlap runner plain because of the busy sunflower tablecloth--which turned out so cute.
Now I understand the pig flag--LOL!
What else could you do?! They are so silly, cute--yes! One of these days I am going to have to try inktense because I have been hearing people say how much they love them and seeing the vibrant colors online for so long. One day...
Happy T-Day! :)

Oh I know I am the only one without those Crazy Birds! I love what I see and can't wait to see it all! Are you enjoying the cooler temps? We are still plenty hot!
