Clare's Photo challenge #5 Broken & A Mixed Media challenge

Todays photo challenge, by Planet Clare, is "Broken".
I had been racking my brain, and keeping my eyes open trying to figure out what I have that is broken. Normally, if it is broken, it is either fixed for gotten rid of... So walking back to my craftroom.....only minutes ago,  I once again glanced at the family pictures hanging at the end of the hall.......YEP! The glass is broken!!

I broke it just before getting all our family photos, but I used it anyway, thinking I would quickly get it replaced.......that was a year ago.......LOL!!

Over at More Mixed Media they have a challenge running right now and the challenge is "Blue"
This picture came to my mind instantly, and instead of letting it rattle around in my brain, I acted on it right away.....I know, what has this new year done to me????

Well, I printed it out and got it glued down with Mod Podge, here it is still wet.

The heat gun fixed the wet and helped set the modeling paste that I added around the picture.

A close-up of the corner.......love the architectural element with this photo.

Once it was dry, or almost dry *grin*, I added blue and white paint with my fingers.

A better look at the quote.  This photo was downloaded from Pinterest.
I just love the quote....and with my best friend having colon cancer surgery today, it speaks to me even more. "When you think your faith has failed you, all your hopes and dreams are gone. Listen for the Angel voice, that whispers "Just hold on".

This mornings sunrise was gorgeous, gleaming with promises of a new day.

What a paint pallet the Lord has!!
