Anna Griffin Dies and Embossing folders: A product review

March is "Craft" month on HSN (Home Shopping Network) and I like to always tune in to see what is new on the market, see how they use their product, etc., etc.. So March 24th was the big day, it was also the day I had to get one GD to school (on time) and then watch the youngest till Daddy got here.  Megan was a champ and let me watch from time to time ...LOL!  They do the same segments over and over through the 24 hr. period.  Anna Griffin was there with her Die cuts and Embossing folders as a set.  Now I do have a real weakness for Dies, but have plenty of embossing folders, so I just watched.......and watched..... and watched!  By the end of "their" day, late afternoon for me, I finally caved and called in my order :o  Yes, I bow my head,....................... but not in shame, I am offering up some prayers of THANKS!!!!    Holly Mollie I have hit the jack pot!!!
I spent this morning cutting and embossing samples, and trying their techniques.  This is a picture of the single dies that I got in the order, the sample cuts just below.  I have to say that these dies are really fantastic, not wafer thin, but of nice weight and size.  They also have a deep cut to them.  I haven't tried chip board, but I really think they will cut it.

A little closer view of the two top dies, see how deep the cut is?
On to the embossing folders..........these are 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.  They all came with a boarder to match, and two of them also have a die to match the boarder.  I did these all in white, sorry you can't really see the samples, but I did better with the next picture...............................
These are the 7 x 5 embossing folders, boarders and match dies.  I am so very pleased with the embossing folders, they make a very deep and distinct pattern.  The boarders are the colored strips down the sides, and you can clearly see the embossing on the white papers.
Here is the set up of the folders and die.  I fiddled and fooled around trying to figure out how to make the die and the boarder work, since I can't remember just how they said to do it.  I finally did the die cut first then lined it up with the embossing boarder folder, then embossed the boarder..

I have ordered and bought Anna Griffin products for scrap booking in the past and was very satisfied with the quality, and these items are no different.  I am REALLY please with all of the products and REALLY glad I bought them.  Of course I do know that HSN has a super return policy, if I was not pleased with any of it.

I am NOT affiliated with Anna Griffin or HSN.

So now I am off to do more laundry, I'm starting to feel a little better, head no longer pounds, but have a stuffy head and a runny nose............to much info?  Ok I'll just sign off for now.........
Thanks for stopping by, please let me know you did, so I can get back to you
Inky Hugs

I have no way to cut using these dies and folders, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what you did. I can see using the embossed images on heavy CS to use with a gelli plate. I think these will be worth their weight in gold to you, dear Krisha. Wish I could come play with you and Betsy.

I had almost as much fun reading about your new goodies as you did showing them off, Krisha!! You did really well! And, Anna and HSN, head's up over here, you should be paying this lady as a spokesperson!! Hugs, Darnell
I'm loving the embossing folders and matching dies. Anna Griffin has some great stuff, always ornate and fancy. You got a great haul!
