WOYWW 244 Meet Murphy

Time for WOYWW and everybody should know what that means, that's right a day of desk snooping.....I mean desk hopping, brought to us by our Queen Julia at The Stamping Ground!

So here is Murphy, a goofy looking thing who is actually a prototype for my GD Megan, who will be visiting tomorrow (Wednesday).  I saw this thing on Pinterest and thought Megan (  a very advanced 3 1/2 yr old) would have fun creating some goofy characters.  You can see I pre painted the toilet rolls in the background.
Here's the wide angle of Betsy, loaded with bits an pieces to make our goofy people, along with a folder full of cut out hearts to make sun catchers with.  It should be a fun day.  Her Mommy's birthday is February 14 so we always try to make some special decorations for her.

With Megan arriving early in the morning (for the day), and I start an other photography class from 6-8 PM I really don't know how many desks I will get around to this week.  Thursday DH is having cortisone shots in his neck, just below the skull.  Arthritis has set in and he cannot turn his head without a great deal of pain.  Of course there is no cure, so we are trying pain management.  Surgery would involve fusing the bones together and he would never be able to turn his head.  THAT will be the very LAST straw that we draw to.

I will return visits as soon as time permits.  It is just going to be one of those weeks!
Inky Hugs

Oh you're set for a really fun day, how lovely! I bet you GD comes up with some wonderful ideas too - they are so uninhibited with crafting. Don't worry about visits, it's meant to be fun huh, and you and DH have a lot on your plate..great good luck to him for tomorrow...I hope he gets a good result, very quickly!

Your GD is going to be in her element, what great characters. I hope you share her creations.
I feel for your poor hubby, my Mum suffers terribly but is on new treatment and the improvement has been incredible. There is always something new with arthritis so don't give up!!

My youngest sons birthday is on Valentines day- he does moan about that! I just remind him its his own fault- he arrived 3 months early! Those toilet roll tube projects will be brilliant for your GD, I can remember my kids doing loads of things like that at school, before they stopped kids bringing in the tubes for art projects! Hope this provides a solution for your Hubby.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #42 xx
Oh that's adorable! And I consider myself the queen of fun-things-to-do-with-kitchen-roll middles-for kids. Last week we made a Chinese dragon - he is super cool! Have fun with Megan! Happy WOYWW Cindy #97
Hi Krisha! You are a terrific grandma..that is an awesome project. Prepping helps the projects go so much smoother! Have fun and I hope the pain management goes well for DH. Will be on the lookout for updates.

Oh, dear, that post was a bit of a roller coaster ride, Krisha. I was grinning from ear-to-ear at those goofy toilet paper characters and sun-catchers and imagining all the fun you are going to have with your DGD! Then my smile turned upside down when you described your poor husband's neck and his possible options. Holy cow, I feel so bad for him and am sending up a prayer! I'm about to go to my first PT on the knee and I feel like a whiney baby about it compared to the pain your DH is suffering!! I pray the shot does the trick! Bless you both! Hugs, Darnell (Not WOYWWing.)
Hope you had a wonderful day with those cute creations and Megan. How did your husband get on with his injections? I also have arthritis in my neck but seem to be staving off medical intervention by regular chiropractic treatment and a massage every two weeks, which works wonders, and allows me a good range of movelment. Sadly, not every treatment works for every person. Have a good week. xx Maggie #3

Murphy is quite the character! I'm sure Megan (and you) will have fun making him some new friends.

I hope hubby's shots help him out. They don't sound pleasant but if they help with pain then they'll be worth it.
